Get your order in for this coming winter

A few people have said to me recently that they want a pirate cycling jacket.

I am looking to get a kit order in around September/October time with delivery expected to be in the New Year.  If cycle jackets are to be ordered in time for this coming winter, we need to drum up the numbers fairly quickly.  Also this will be the last kit order until after Lanza,

Last year, the jackets were £110, quite expensive but brilliant quality and look fantastic. The price is comparable (cheaper) to most non-custom quality cycling kit.

If you are interested, please pop aong to the main kit thread and put your name down for a cycle jacket.

Can i add that i got a jacket late last year and it is bloody marvellous...well worth the price tag, if your worried compare LG's price against other companies and you'll see it is the same if not slightly cheaper....plus it has pirate power...nuff said really

I hate this thread.

I am trying not to buy one of these jackets but I'm really struggling.

I wonder what I can sell on e-bay...

I have an original LG Pirate jacket and it is ace

Probably about 7 years old now and still going strong, even better for running in on those cold cold winter (and summer) days !!

I'd like one.
A jacket that is! If we're going to keep doing uk based Mdots then I think full pirate waterproofs and a duffle coat might not be a bad idea too!

I have thought about saving for one.............but I only tend to wear a jacket in very wet conditions........and i got the impression that these were more windproof and showerproof...rather than full on waterproof...................can someone clarify please

I wore mine doing LEJOG Seren, the only problem with water I had was from sweat on my arms.  It is wind proof, shower proof and keeps out all but the really heaviest rain where, to be honest, you'd probably just get off and wait 'til the rain passes!!

The only problem (if it is) is that it can mark with dirt and oil.  But with a wash in non bio and with some Nikwax thrown in on the rinse cycle it comes up clean again!  Not tried it out in proper rain since though!

Great piece of kit!  Go on Mouse, you know you *want* it!

How long is poor GB gonna get stick?  He did complete IMW!

Not overly warm but you wouldn't wear it all winter ...

My thinking is it'd be handy before and after races when you want another layer without losing your pirateness

Hmm, tempted.  Sizing wise, I guess i'd pick the same size in the jacket that i picked for the cycle top; can any with both say whether that seems like a sensible thing to do? !  Ta

I've probably used my jacket more than any other bit of kit. Not for training - but for hanging around freezing cold campsides, race venues, carparks etc. It is excellent quality, offensively bright and has pockets and a zip - what's not to love? (oh yeah, the price. :-/)

Mouse - sell old clothes wot are too big.
