Hello all. Just popped on here to see what the chat was.  I'm camping, but running so can't help out on the feedstation sadly.  Not swimming either.  I assume i've just to book my own camping anyway?  Must do that before I forget actually....

and who's going to look after a drunken Barlos then??...

I knew we should have kept that Asda shopping trolley

I am not sure there is a shopping trolley robust enough for Coach

Edited - Lee, both Barlos and I are under the impression that free camping (if it is confirmed by OSB) is only for volunteers.  Those competing will need to make their own arrangements.  Sorry

All,

The perks

- Free camping
- Free entry to swim events
- Packed lunches

Are only available to volunteers/marshalls/feedstation helpers.  It isnt a free for all, OSB are still charged by the campsite.

where is the free camping..........when i asked last year the main campsite knew nothing about it.....

i presumed if you wanted the free camping then you would be in a different field somewhere....

so i paid last year .it wasn't expensive

In previous years we've either had names given to the Campsite office or had camping passes to print off and present at arrival.  Once on the site then allowed to pitch where we wanted.

For the moment we're just gettting a list of those supporters who want to camp, OSB will then sort out the arrangements.

I thought it was a freebie last year but still got charged - mind you it's cheap so I wasn't too bothered

Yeah i had to pay last year too, i feel cheatd now!

For the Half Outlaw at the weekend OSB prebooked our camping, I turned up, gave them my name and didn't have to pay anything!! But I did register via the OSB website as a volunteer for that event.

I'm assuming Barley, or in reality Schmunks, will have to let OSB have a list of those of us wantng a pitch for our tents!

As part of the freebies we we given a little insulated sandwich bag!!

Volunteers get better goodie bags than the competitors

Mr Digger is coming with me to help also. I think the mention of beer and food may have swayed him. He has declined the OW swim option.

For any one who is coming up to the feedstation that does not have pirate kit, dont forget that PSOF tshirt website ... http://pirates.spreadshirt.co.uk/

ooh, thanks meldy, might get myself a hoody. Any idea what the sizing is like? Would medium fit a size 14?

Goodness ... I am not sure I can remember what size mine is ... One thing we did find was that the neck aperture was quite tight!  I would think you would be fine with a medium
