Not you, Rafi, but was going to mail you too and do both things at once. If you mail me (still got my address?) with what you wanted again I'll look into it.

Sorry for my mistakes.  Am doing this on a smartphone now (out of office hours) which is not ideal but all I can do

05/06/2013 at 14:33

Yeah - numpty no1 here hopefully will get the hoodie and the mac to work so I can order it!

Coz i am old and thick...... i sent the e mail to OSB as requested and am on the list do we still have to register as a volenteer on the website?

05/06/2013 at 14:43

RBM - no, Barlos (and I use that name loosely) is dealing with all that from this end as there is the risk of double counting

05/06/2013 at 14:48

did we have to email OSB? getting confused...

05/06/2013 at 14:50

No, no and thrice no

Barlos will be acting as middle-man between you lot and OSB so there is only one point of contact

05/06/2013 at 14:52

Purely for clarity purpose and to allay any worry/confusion.....

Mouse is right.  Barley and I oversee everything.  By registering twice you do get double counted.

As for t-shirts, packed lunch etc, again Barley and I collect those and make sure we have enough for all volunteers

As for the swim, previously OSB have asked us for names and distances.  Previously Barlos oversaw that, but last year I asked people to contact OSB directly as I had enough on my plate.

It would be great if things were co-ordinated through Barlos so that there is only one chain of communication with OSB.

It also means we can blame him, and only him, when it goes tits up!

Can I change the swim to 3k please?

Someone on here was all official and such ... advice. May 2013 amendment to rule book

Rule 9.1 has been amended to:

Competitors shall use no aids other than a cap, goggles, nose clip and costume, which may be a wetsuit, for open water swims. Coverings below the knee and covering the arms are not permitted in non-wetsuit swims and pool based swims.

This means I CAN wear calf guards under my wetsuit yeah?

Thanks

I think so EP, there was a thread about the BTF rules....I can't find it now but it must be somewhere

07/06/2013 at 18:14

EP - I think so too as long as they do not cover your ankles, but the best person to answer would be Fat Buddha

Saw loads wearing them last year, Holly does for sure, its the same as men wearing a Monaco top underneath.
