she was trying to be tactful that young children and busy people and fast bikes don't mix.........

but you can't put an age on it can you.my middle son would have been responsible enough to do it at a fairly young age and not get in the way or bored or annoy people..........or run infront of bikes

my other two would have been dangerous at 13............

Yeah, thanks Seren, I guess I was trying to be tactful as it is basically up to Slag and button as to whether they think their children would be happy/safe, but also I respected that they had asked if it was ok.

So ner, Razor

Dog is obviously a request too far. Bananas and gels are really all anyone could ask for.

Perhaps OK for Ironman Korea

My kids are 13 and 10 years old and the same goes for slag is that all ok.

10/06/2013 at 05:23

BM as Seren said only you and Slag know your kids and how they will handle 6 odd hours st a feed station, at that ages I can't see it as a problem, there's lots to do and I reackon they will have a great time I do think the final word is down to Barlos who is organising the thing

10/06/2013 at 07:56

BM - were your kids at the DIY event? One of them did a fab job at the feed station there. The Outlaw is a whole lot busier of course and no chairs or chip butties/endless tea or coffee unless we can get Barlos organised with a chip and burger waggon.

We all know Barlos is so laid back he is virtually horizontal, so as long as you and slag are happy that your children will be ok, then I am sure he will not be at all concerned.

My grandson Josh who was 11 at the time was on the feed station last year with me , he was on bottle filling and banana duties and he had a great time, just make the kids aware that the bikes are moving through pretty fast so to take care.

my kids might be there too if possible (not sure yet as we are just arranging transport and seeing who else from my family is coming down).  they did the DIY feed station and had a great time.
