I Did the 3kswim last year and had the honor of coming dead last.

I did it in 1.32 so would have been slow enough to beat the cut off.

I'd like to volunteer, if I am allowed, be nice to meet the Pirates and am thinking of doing outlaw next year.

Is it ok for newbies to tag along ?

The more the merrier Toasty! Its a great way to get a feel for a big event and to meet like minded nutters

I'm putting myself on the list  - was supposed to be running in a relay team but still not able to run with dodgy knee so want to do the feedstation instead, and the free swim

Barlos apologises for his absence from this thread, but he is v busy re work and has asked me to pop in and give a warm welcome to the newbies who have kindly volunteered and to thank everyone for putting their name down so far.

He will pop in nearer the time to give further details etc etc but at the moment, there is nothing else to be done except wait

and to train......practice with 1 minute at a time holding your arm out with a full bottle........build up slowly until you can hold it up for 6 hours
