Seren, what about using buoyancy shorts?  There was  thread about them recently.

I suspect that any swim aides will be banned, but contact organisers to confirm.

Sorry, meant to say Hi IS, yes, remem meeting you at the pool last year.  Counting lengths was much easier than doing them!

And Seren, watch Raf, he likes looking at bums!

Raf....I knew the race director last year and I tried all ways to be allowed a pullbuoy but he still insisted no....

so i just had to go and make a splash in the slowest lane and survived.......just...

this is an awesome race......really is amazing.........

'All ways' - I can think of several that you never tried Seren

Unfortunately its British Triathlon rules. Not sure anyone but the referee or a fellow competitor would notice buoyancy shorts though. Swim directors are swimmers rather than triathletes. & the boss man is a skier & MTBer first & foremost, cant see him being too bothered.

Not race director this year so not my call -  but still open to offers Seren  And no I didn't go round checking everybody's shorts pre or post race.

It wasn't the looking that got me in trouble last time, it was the accompanying "compliments" if I  remember rightly

Just peeked at the entrants to date on EntryCentral. 80% are in the Vet category or older. Only 1/5 are in the open category. Looks like them youngsters don't like tough races.
