A cheaper alternative to Bodyglide

That isn't water-soluble and won't affect the wettie

(Have searched forum and although I am sure this has been discussed before, I can't find anything )

I have used the last of my Bodyglide and was in search of more but the cheapest I can find is £10 for 38g.  Does anyone know of anything cheaper that is just as good, but is not water-soluble and won't affect the neoprene?

On other tri forums, I have read suggestions of olive oil, KY Jelly, baby oil and any lubricant for use with a condom.  Are these to be believed?

Any ideas and suggestions would be great

KY jelly is water soluble. However, it does tick all the right boxes. Designed for use with both natural rubber and EPDM.

I recall that I got one freebie gel in a sachet from the London marathon that was a body lubricant, and I thought that it was bodyglide. However, it was absolutely fantastic. I don't suppose that it was cheap, but it felt as though you had got a layer of PTFE.

I think that you may have identified a niche in the market.

I bought a long neck rash vest from decathlon. About a tenner and no need for body glide when you wear it under the wetsuit.

Body glide is made out of unicorn tears I think.
