Well, I'm happy to report that LJS won his AG in the last of the 4 tough Olys that make up the RN Cup series, overtaking the 2nd place guy just 50m from the finish line!
After a good 1500m ow swim in 26:40 he was overtaken on the bike by number 415 but managed to catch him again on the run.

John also placed AG 1st overall in the Cup!

just goes to prove that old saying about running through the finish, not just to it!
He didn't know the bloke in front was number 415, he just saw the grey hair and guessed it might be an age-grouper. Caught 415 50m from the line, and the margin of victory was 32 secs!
