Meet Newlands Corner 10am. Drove Road, Guildford. Loads of free parking.

Start off down to Shere, Wheeeeeee.

Then up Combe Bottom. Ouch. Wait at top for slowest rider.

Down a bit. Then up the one with the railway bridge in. Wait at top for slowest and swear a lot.

Gentle meander to Box Hill, spin up that.

Tea and cake.

Back via similar route, maybe via Denbies vineyard. Down Whitedown. Back via A25 via Gomshall

Up hill back to Newlands.

Burger, chips, cake, tea, etc.

About 25 miles total and never scared of Boxhill again.

Quick blast back up Whitedown and back optional if you fancy it. Rest if you don't. If you can beat this one, you will have no fear, apart from one of Smiffys rides

Always wait for slowest, no speed freaks, just a chance to learn upflats with no pressure at all.

Takers?

List fairy needed.

Definitely count me in.....looking forward (sort of) to those upflats/hills......whatever they are.

Some of these are proper upflats!

Hopefully around for it, though prob need to do a longer ride than 25 miles, but with less hills upflats. Think I'll pass on the Whitedown upflat, might give the downflat pass a go though (if its dry)!

LN - have you put your new avatar on?  If you have, it does not seem to be working.  Let me know and I will see if I can fix it

Donald has kindly fixed the pirate calender.

I'm not a Pirate but have registered so that I can have a look, just waiting to be activated ........I don't want to be missing out on these rides

I think Schumkee should be the Calender Girl.

Saffers you were "activated" ages ago... You should have received an email.

Try to log in. If you have any problems drop me an email.

Thanks Donald, I tried yesterday and couldn't log it but today I can!   Fancy me being activated and not feeling a thing!   Cheers.

Looks like you're a pirate now Saffers.  You'd better go to the kit thread next!

<considers what pose Schmunkee should take as the pirate "Calender Girl", perhaps just a pirate buff and a couple of water bottles to protect her modesty>       *runs away and hides*

I really should hook up with you guys when I get stuck in Guildford mid week and get a run in
25/03/2010 at 15:31

Having met the lovely Schmunkee, I would say that a couple of water bottles just wouldn't do it Soup.........I'm thinking a couple of helmets may just cover Schmunks womanly attributes

Sorry Schmunkee.....couldn't resist!

Saffers is in trouble now..........

*listens for sound of Schmunkee opening thread door and gets ready to sneak Saffers out via fire exit*

Given that I haven't cycled for months and my knee is currently knackered I'm expecting to be the one you're all waiting for

M.ister, I'm sure you will still be waiting at the top of those hills/upflat thingies for a few of us less able.
