Bike bag on a car boot rack

These are advertised as going over a boot rack. Now I don't fancy putting my bike on the roof (carbon forks as well) and we haven't the room in the car for the bag and four of us, so this sounds like a good solution.

So - anyone tried it? Will it work or will the M6 have to close for a while for me to tidy up after it falls off?

I have one of those bags, I've driven several times with it on the roof rack (Fiesta) no problem

How does it fit on then? Bungees? I can picture the arms of a boot rack sticking through the zips at the corners, but it seems precarious that way.

From the look of it I think the arms of the rack go through where the zips are at the top of the bag..... as you say.  Can you get to an Evans and have a look at it?

I used a set of the ratchet type, 4 straps in all. Two length ways, ratchet. And across the width, non ratchet, friction type. 90 mph on the motorways  no probs.

I bought them from Lidl, £9.99
