Just a heads-up for those who've taken the plunge (get it?!) for next year but don't yet have a flattering black swimming outfit, sportpursuit (google it, I'm not advertising!) are currently having a sale on blueseventy kit, including mens and womens Sprint wetsuits for £70 (RRP £130). A friend of mine uses one of these and gives it a cracking review, so worth a look provided you know what size you are?

Cor thats tempting.

But looking at the sizes I would be a small tall!?! I know everyone says about its the fit thats the important thing. Also this says it is just for open water swiming rather than a tri suit, does this mean it will be a bugger to get off?

If it doens't fit how much do people reckon it would fetch on ebay?

Xterra are cheap - normally offer 50% discount somewhere if you look hard enough, and offer free returns meaning that effectively you can try out for size first.

I'm a big fan of Sportspursuit, but I suspect for stuff like returns their model doesnt really work, so I'd be wary.

Re wetsuits, I think its worth speaking to someone who knows. My bro bought one and tried it on at home, and thought it was too small as he could hardly get it on. We went to give it a try anyway, and a fitter at the lake showed him how to put it on and suggested he could even get away with a smaller suit!

Fit is all.

But if you want cheap here's some ex hire speedo wetsuits (one hire only it says?!) for £70...
