A few of us are mates with the bloke who organisers it so we would say do it anyway. I'm on the wrong side of the pennines to travel that far for a 10K.

Big Al - Tunnel 10K is a fantastic event. This year I am gutted to be missing it due to work commitments

Well I am used to doing longer events and for some reason doing them up and down the country. Since I started training for a triathlon I have enjoyed running the shorter distances and been looking for events closer to home. The only other 10k I've completed is Manchester but that was about 5 years ago and I had a chest infection when I ran it so it wasn't the most enjoyable event. Quite fancy this one tho. Might book in later.

Looks like I will be getting a lie in then, as I'm assuming you will be finishing near lunchtime, Cake? And is Sarah coming along to cheer?

Think I read somewhere that you can wear your own swimcap, is this the case? Don't fancy wearing communal headwear

Don't know yet she's said about it but works saturday's and might be to much travel for one week. She asked if would be a good idea to enter the other day I'm hoping that she's been talked out of it?

what a miserable morning to cycle to work and not because of the rain but because all those people who I saw over the last few weeks of sunshine with matching lycra and bike had decided to take the car................. because it was drizzling!

Had to fight my way through numerous traffic jams and avoid the odd wagon trying to downsize my body.

Anyway, hope we get this heatwave at the weekend. Don't fancy freezing my nuts off on Sunday

I may have to cry off from pom-pom duty on Sunday - got an day-long job interview on Monday and should probably be swotting up!

I know Cake, I see it in work every year. They usually wait til the tour de France is on, you can't move in the bike store for 3 weeks then they all drop off one by one and it's empty come the end of august.1- 2 grand for a bike to sit in a shed for 49 weeks of the year, what a waste.
Anyway, it's their loss and I'll tell myself that when I can't feel my extremities in winter
