our calendar of events shows this year's Koln (Cologne to you) Tri on 6/7 September has a bunch of different events:
a corporate sprint - for company teams
226 Extreme - combines the long distance event with the sprint. So you do 700m swim 24km bike and 7km run on Saturday, then the standard 3.8/180/42.2km on Sunday, times for both are combined for final results.
I'm hovering between " that's a weird idea" and "might try that".
Talk about a "weekender"!
I think it's a great idea but I'm nowhere near up to it.
How quick does it fill IW?
Still looks like I will be working in Germany by then, so if the family's settled(a big IF?) and I'm in a reasonable state I might look to do an event in Germany August\September.
At the moment F nose!
G-sport - don't know, it's still a new event but most races in Germany fill up quite quickly. Another great race is the Remagen Oly on 14 Sep, it's near Bonn and the swim again is in the Rhein, it's longer than normal at 2.8km but because the current is so strong, even I did it last year in 25 mins!
couple of club mates have said today they are thinking of going to Koln.
