Farnham Tri?

I have been looking for a proper swimming session to do, other than me using the Swim Workouts fro Triathletes book and stealing UI's tri club sessions , All the local swimming clubs seem to be quite expensive and/or at the wrong times for me to get there

Farnham tri seems to fit the bill on both but was just wondering if anyone had been to them and what they were like in terms of drills, coaching, variety, experience?

It'd also give me the incentive to get the running going properly.

I go to them . Swim training is brilliant, regional coach of the year and they have access to the 50 metre garrison pool at Aldershot, which is indoor, clean, warm and nearly 7 foot deep (in the shallow end!!!). Drills are great, most sessions vary between 1800M to about 4K dependent upon your level. 6 levels catered for in one session and the coaches always have time for you.

Four quid a session......don't tell anyone.

Not done their bike or run stuff yet apart from the IM Half/Mara weekend run, which has been fab the last two years.

Hope this helps.

That's great dustboy, thank you.  It's the garrison one I was interested in as that is the closest session to me and a sensible time.  I wonder if I cen get them to reply in time to go and have a go tomorrow.

Garrison swim is 7.30 to 8.30. A friend of mine came to try it out and was made most welcome. They have two lanes (1fast one slow) set aside in the garrison pool in the middle (I think lane 3/4) You can park opposite the entrance in North Camp at the end of (Queens Road is it?), go through to wet changing, get changed and go poolside. Haydn is the coach this week.

It's a brilliant pool!!! Tougher than a 25M and this seems to be added to by a 16 foot deep end.

Although I am but a lowly occasional member, I think it's OK to say the above!

Let us know how you get on, don't know if I can make it tomorrow or not.
