MC - great swimming! Well done! You've got a real head advantage for next year, now - knowing the water 'n all

Slowly slowly catchee monkey Nursey, dont be tempted to go too far too quickly ... If you'll pardon the pun, Nursey needs patience

MC nice swimming, yes that lake is a feckin long way but it is so easy to sight !!

Patience with myself is not my strong point!  All part of the learning experience

I am just so slow. The other woman on my team did the swim in 7:45 - mind you she has done several ironmen and apparently used to be a champion swimmer as a young girl so don't feel too bad. The speed will come I'm sure

IMKY is underway! I have about 40 friends out there swimming at the moment. Leaving for a full day of volunteering in about 90 minutes.

Had a great day yesterday as well: ran 12.7 miles, checked in a load of bikes and gear and did the underpants run.

Have finally caught up with this thread... It ticks over fairly quickly!

I've now decided to postpone my attempt at the full IM distance until the summer of 2014. The collar bone I broke back in late May hasn't healed so well and is causing the odd problem in the pool.

For now I'm simply planning on getting fitter and healthy with a view of riding La Marmotte sportive in July of next year with a half distance event (I'll probably travel back home for the Guernsey Granite Man with its open water sea swim) in mid to late Sept.

As for the IM 2014? Am thinking Austria, Switzerland or perhaps Wales.

Good luck to everyone and I'm sure to poke my nose around these parts from (perhaps too much) time to time

SD sorry we couldn't meet up, I needed to at home get home, as the urge to get rid of my child was far too great If your anywhere near the Vitruvian next month, come down, I could do with the moral support along with I believe 5? other Pirates.

10 mile hilly race done, happy with the result, negative split helped

My short and uneventful tale of woe and general review of my triathlon is now on the vachery triathlon thread, please don't rush to read... Its boring

The summary, I swam and got stuck in my wettie, good bike, fell over on run injured finished in 1h28' - slow is an understatement
