Interesting Spoons. Not heard about that before & Simons a fellow TriAnglian, he organised our club relay teams this year.

He also runs Paradise Tri http://www.paradise-tri-training.co.uk/about.htm

Day after my birthday but a week before IMUK so doubt i'll be doing it.

Excellent run TB

Well done TB, cracking time.

Re the lesson, you can`t put time in the bank in the first half of a marathon, always comes back to get you. For every minute you go through half way too fast, you lose 2-3mins in the second half.

I can only dream of being so speedy! Rest for me, too - mara in 4:16, which was a 2 min PB - yay!
08/10/2012 at 20:14

brit - well done

erm, have put a different wheel with a turbo tyre on my bike, not convinced of my abilities to do this and am worried I will come a cropper in the morning

the odd thing is that when I try to put the brake 'release thing' back down, then the brakes are too tight and the wheel doesn't move. Now, this doesn't matter for the turbo, I can leave it open as don't need the brakes, but wondering whether it indicates I haven't put the wheel on right?

Different thickness of wheel?

08/10/2012 at 20:24

I thought they were the same but I guess they could be different. Oh well, so long as I don't hurt myself. It isn't like I am going to use this wheel on the road

Evening all

At the weekend I purchased a couple of sufferfest bike training vids and I find one as part of tonites training session. I must say I'd recommend these to anyone who does a lt of indoor training. I did LOCAL HERO and was one of the best workouts I've done indoors. It looked like I'd spilled a bucket of water on the floor afterwards

Todays training

- 2hrs spin including the above
- 30mins core and stretch

did you download them or can you buy them on disc?
