I can only dream of being so speedy! Rest for me, too - mara in 4:16, which was a 2 min PB - yay!

brit - well done

erm, have put a different wheel with a turbo tyre on my bike, not convinced of my abilities to do this and am worried I will come a cropper in the morning

the odd thing is that when I try to put the brake 'release thing' back down, then the brakes are too tight and the wheel doesn't move. Now, this doesn't matter for the turbo, I can leave it open as don't need the brakes, but wondering whether it indicates I haven't put the wheel on right?

Different thickness of wheel?

I thought they were the same but I guess they could be different. Oh well, so long as I don't hurt myself. It isn't like I am going to use this wheel on the road

Evening all

At the weekend I purchased a couple of sufferfest bike training vids and I find one as part of tonites training session. I must say I'd recommend these to anyone who does a lt of indoor training. I did LOCAL HERO and was one of the best workouts I've done indoors. It looked like I'd spilled a bucket of water on the floor afterwards

Todays training

- 2hrs spin including the above
- 30mins core and stretch

did you download them or can you buy them on disc?

I've been thinking about those for the winter, Will.  How long are the sessions?

broke....do you fancy doing a bike ride sometime...

the sufferfest downloads are MASSIVE. if you're lucky enough to live somewhere with good broadband speeds then you should be ok.  if you aren't (like me) then it takes HOURS to download - just a though before you run off and purchase. oh, and make sure that you're PC is upto playing them too, think they use a lot of memory.

09/10/2012 at 08:09

thanks WW, OH says he will be able to put them onto dvd for me so I can play them via the telly rather than faffing with the laptop

turbo wheel/tyre was fine, didn't need to worry. I think sometimes I do the quick release spindle thing up too tight. I really need to learn the names of all the bits of the bike....

Ye would be geat to have someone to ride with, when were you thinking? I have Cardiff half this weekend then I am pretty much free for a month without any training plans, Fri, Sat, Sun would be best for me.

By the looks of the weather I think I need to get some winter riding gear...that or I need to HTFU.

BBT you'll be ok mate - the amount of hot air that comes out Seren's mouth will keep you warm!
