Thanks Cake.  I know it's because she wants me to do well and look after myself in the process.  I am adopting the "smile and nod" approach, but I just needed to offload somewhere neutral, so that I don't blow a fuse at her!

Welcome back Holgs

I have the opposite problem Nursey, with my wife, when it comes to the sports I pursue. I have to really watch my advice or I'll turn her off from it all.  I'm no expert but I do know enough to be dangerous.  However, I also realize we are very different when it comes to how we approach things.  For me, I'll sign up for say an Ironman and figure I have a year to figure it all out.  She, on the other hand, will sign up for a 5K that's 3 months away because she's scared.  For example, we were talking about Ironman last night and she said "never ever ever ever..." and I countered with "ever is a very long time..."  I figure she'll do one but she might be on a 5 year plan instead.

On a related note, she's now approaching 2 stone down since August 1 so obviously she's kicking ass and taking names.  She's bought herself a GPS watch and has commited to Chicago Marathon 2013.

I'm on day 2 of P90x and can barely lift my arms so that's also going well haha

he has plenty more than me to read, and very good too.

January is all I know at the moment, cover designs being done this week, and my editor is almost done. So hopefully be up for pre-ordering before too long.

Training going well at the moment Will, what did you do tonight?

Today was

- 50min trail run ... Lower zone 2

- 90min spin .. Zone 2 again
- 60 min weights (full body) ... Starting a set on each min

I would say its going reasonable rather than well ...

Kept to zone 2 today as have a hard /long day Tomorow
