RP it was local hero that did for me this weekend .

Raf it's a Raleigh Reynolds 531 frame and forks.
Set up is currently completely off as haven't redone it since we put her back together. Bike fitting on Nov 1 st

She's got pride of place in the living room until then.

Tried turbo for 20 mins this morning for the first time and ended in a sweatbath.  So, I should go find Sufferfest?

Im on the edge of sufferfest investment.

Im thinking, itll make turbo training more interesting. iim worrying that i dont have a base yet.....

I like the look of the sufferfest but think I'm going to stick to low heart rate turbo sessions until fink starts calling for zone 4 efforts.

oh. another thing. just began noticing issues with me feet.  picked up small blisters on non obvious spots and im getting a little numbness in the midpoint of the ball of my right foot. not proper blisetrs mind. just a little round welt and a small popable one. were not talking needles and iodine treatment like the para's might consider on a speed march.

could my trainers be dying ? ive had them a while but only been abusing them for a few months ( probably ).

I think that Fink is overly light on the bike if your nor a good cyclest (IMO)

i suspected as much. planning a ruck of sufferfest - do I need to get a base first or just get wet WW ?

i know their hard - but their only as hard as I want to make it. sceptical that intervals makes for aerobic base work

I've read that a few people consider fink a bit light on the bike but thought they may have been refering to the get you round plan rather than competitive plan. Still will compare with some other plans and was planning to up the bike a bit anyway.

Sgt are the shoes proper running ones that you were assessed for or a pair of trainers you had kicking round when you started to take up running? If not it would be worth visiting a running shop and asking them to look at your gait for a new pair now that your distances are increasing.

lol. they were a pair that were kicking around for a 'while'....was hoping to eek them out until chrismas when I could use them to mug a granddad in a red suit, steal his sled and sell reindeer burgers at the pub....

neutral gate  - heavy load....will look into a proper running shop then....

4 Mile run at lunch time, it's getting hard to fit runs in now with the dark mornings.

Feel much better for it though, I thought I'd love tapering but it's driving me nuts!

Off to run home soon, had a great off-road run at lunchtime in ankle deep mud. Loved it and got to scream obscenities as I ran through the woods. I'd had a sh*te morning and it was just what I needed.

Still not sleeping, still feeling bloody knackered, still made myself run 5 miles this afternoon - and unexpectedly really enjoyed it.  Slow but happy.

On to P90x week 2.  My wife might just be humoring me but she claims there is some definition already in my upper body.  She did insist on a couple before pics so we'll check those in a few weeks.  I have noticed that my output has gone up substantially in just a week.  Still only managing a few pull ups at a time but that beats the 1/2 I was averaging last week.

I also got my mountain bike out for the first time in a couple years yesterday.  I still prefer road biking but it was a nice change of pace.
