Another Ironman journey
An hour speed session in the pool last night nearly killed me. Decided I'd have an easy day today, so out at 5.30am for a 10 mile run. Teaching from 9-5 solid and then a run home tonight.
I don't think I'll have any trouble sleeping.
Have a great day everyone.
Nice work Holgs, sounds like you have an easy day planned .
Still recovering from half marathon escapades last Sun, legs are still tight.
Went swimming last night to loosen them, was told that not allowed to use any training aids so looks like I need to find a new pool.
Whats the clue M.elds?
Been to quacks ... need to rest up a few days ... but should be OK for next weeks Mara
BBT - no training aids at all? I know somw pools don't allow paddles, but yours sounds a bit extreme.
Will - it's better you're ill now than next week. It will give you an enforced taper too which will help your marathon.
Ankle surgery booked in for Nov 15th to:
1) Remove a floating bit of the Talus bone that’s insolently made its way into the joint
2) File down the bone spur that has grown from the part where the above mentioned bit of bone came from
Recovery time… ohhhhh about 6 – 8 weeks.
cant wait until my easy day looks like this mr Holgs....

Goodnight Melds, sleep tight, don't let the bed bats bite
Ggrrrrr !! I shall blame you for the little to no sleep I had today with thanks to whichever gasboard was digging up my road for the most part of today, no number of pillows can disguise the noise of the machinery they were usingI am soooooooo tired !!
Ali - well done on the sufferfest. I just prop my front wheel on a yellow pages, so even if I wriggle the wheel doesn't come off. Yellow pages is not very thick though, so it does feel a little like going downhill but I am used to it now
SL - it is scary when you start seeing your extra weight in terms of the weight of a child, and then lift up your own child and realise just how much it is! Just think how speedy you will get when you lose the weight
SD - looks different. Even I could complete that one.
WHy would you need a 2hr session ??
