Good work if you've been out today. I binned everything, not left the house

Grim thoughts about tomorrows off road event, hopefully weather not so bad.

I've been out biking as well .. the weather is 'character building' already !!

I've filled my tummy and am watching the usual stuff on a Saturday night, more biking tomorrow and a night shift

Zombie Run done today. I completed the course but got infected! Was a great laugh and the Zombies had gone all out on the effects and some were very speedy. Don't think I've ever laughed so much on a run. The clown zombie freaked lots of people out. Thankfully not stumbles or strains so all set for next weekend. Even have my race pack now.

Half mara including Parkrun before breakfast, done all my marking!! Been finding how much distance running helps me with work - same principle applies - the running is hard, but I have the determination to keep up the pace, and so when I want to stop marking essays (believe me this is the most mind numbing activity in the world) I tell myself "you wouldn't stop running, so don't stop this". Was really tired this afternoon, but kept going until I finished.

I've struggled to concentrate on marking for years, and now running has provided the answer.

Beachy head done yesterday. 5:46. Absolutely brutal conditions with flutters of snow for a short while!

Got a friend round their first mara too so great day in all.

Had to walk 3 miles back to walk in with the OH who finished just in front of the sweeper. Amazing achievement.

Ali - well done on the zombie run

brit - well done on the marking, I still have loads to do, so guess I know what I am spending the day doing

matt - well done for Beachy Head, and to your OH too

well, woke up with a headache so haven't been out yet, will try to run this afternoon, not very optimistic though on the knee/ITB and actually being able to run

Laid up with a cold.  Eugh.  I suppose a few days off training won't hurt...

Ruff stuff MTB event today was crap. First crap event of the year. Shame becuse last years was really good.

This year a local cycle club has got involved trying to make it bigger and better, big mistake. Lack of route signs on bridleways & fields led to getting lost and having to backtrack every 10 minutes. Big chunk of us binned it after 30 miles and rode back to the finish on the road.

& my knees hurts again

Made the most of the 'extra hour' today, 1 hr swim at 7am follow by XC league this p.m. Toying with the idea of roping someone in to do the gruesome twosome 13 miler at Caistor, lincs...anyone interested? That and another marathon could be on the cards

At up all

Did Newcastle marathon this morning .... Although it was so muddy that it was more like a very long x-country ... Can't remember ever doing a Mara that was so heavy under foot.

Being an off season Mara .. I stuck to my plan of 1min walk in every mile .. Only think aching is my ankles from running in the mud.

Managed to do 4:15

Pleased about that

monstrous wildwil. a xcros country marathon ? you're double mental.
