ID, that's good to hear, be well.

Swimming this morning ... After a few lengths I still have to stop, feel like I've been running uphill -- pounding heart, etc.  Tried slowing down my stroke, altered by breathing (I find it OK breathing on one side or bi-laterally), but still wears me out.

Maybe I simply need to get more hours in the pool.

Good news ID, take it easy.

Hopefully it will get easier with practice Tim.

I'm off fell running for the first time in the morning with my mate who's doing Norseman next year. I asked what time and he said he'll let me know but "We'll be at the top of the fell before the sun comes up". So that'll be early then.

Possibly - let's just see how it goes. Just on the local Bowland fells, but some of them are pretty hilly.

Do I really have to answer that ??

Aparently I need my headtorch, a camelbak and something to sustain me for 2-4 hours.

Morning. Opinion please

Was due to do my last long run before next weeks half marathon today or tomorrow. However, man flu has struck & i feel like death warmed up.

Should i bin the run, will it make much difference to my run next week? The furthest ive run is just over 9 miles, which was last week.

May well feel ok tomorrow i suppose if i swallow enough pills.

On a positive, i took 54 calls for children in need last night & got ??1710

SD see how you feel tomorrow. If not adrenaline will get you round next wek. Good luck. Which half are you doing?

SD - I am also at Norwich, and I also have man flu. I'm having a rest day. I'll see how I am in the morning but if I don't feel 90% well I'll have another rest day.

Remember it takes 2 weeks for your body to adapt to any training benefits so it's too late to do anything for Norwich anyway!

My training for the Norwich half isn't going too well either. I'll be hobbling over the line I think!

I never trained more than 6 miles for my first half and nothing over 18 for either marathon - start tapering now rest up and kick man flu - an unnecessary long run at this stage could be the difference between a finish and a DNS/DNF

My opinion you've done enough

Budgie,Spoons, i'll look out for you next week. My race number is easy to remember 1111.

I am also currently sporting a furry Mo on my lip

SD - don't run tomorrow, just concentrate on getting better so you can actually run next week

determination will get you through, and if you can do 9 miles you can do a hm
