If it gives you idea's mate There is a lovely race to do with Barrow. Did it once as a student with some other folks know http://www.keswick2barrow.co.uk/ Just an idea.
ha ha I know all about that walk/race....nope never going to do it, saw how it wrecked several people ( inc Dad ) over the years. Lots of people keep trying to get me to do it with them, not a chance.
It's fun honest.
Of course it is - I've ran a bit of it as support for someone that was racing.
I only have council telly and a bit of extra
Recommendations please for overshoes to stop my tootsies freezing off on the bike.
I use Endura Neoprene overshoes - these
keep my feet dry in all conditions and very warm, combine them with merino wool socks and never had a problem with the cold.

Beasting in the pool again last night, off for a 5 mile run lunchtime. And ordered overshoes and gloves so I can get my ass on the bike over the Winter!
Pontypool Home Run on 24th Feb, that'll be my 10k test.
Nurse I use overshoes from Lidls or Aldi with a pair of Merino socks.
