I sometimes swim with them when stuck in Newport for work.

Track tonight was 100m repeats, the rest of the track was iced up! 20 minutes of 20s with reducing rest periods each 5 minutes. 30s, 20s, 10s, then back to 30s. Brr! Still 9km in the bag.

Evening all. Hope everyone is well on this sodden evening. 

18 mile bike ride tonight, 1:14. It is extremely wet and windy, even in these conditions I averaged 21 mph on the first half, but I thinki from the pseed on the way back that was wind assissted . Absolutely soaked. I don't think my gloves are as wwater proof as they say. And my feet are soaked, I think the rain was coming up and through the small soak away hole in the heel it was so wet 

Well if i thought swimming 2.5km in my pool was boring, I discovered tonight one of the Trainers at my gym is planning on 100km sponsored run....... on a treadmill!! How mind numbing is that going to be?? Saw him tonight as he had just finished a 50km training run in 4hrs 30 mins....even talking to me was exciting for him at that stage

It must be bad if that is a highlight

I know, I wasn't even wearing my kilt!!

But can you imagine 10+ hours on a treadmill?? Madness!!

Dear god  .... no wonder he needs sponsorship 

Done 2 hours on a treadmill before and it was sooo boring. Good luck to him.

Have fallen off my bike twice this week! Once on the road bike 100yards from home and yeasterday on mountain bike. The ice didnt break when I hit it so the bike just went from under me

Not done much this week as my chest hurts a bit on and off so thought I'd preserve myself for the big week. Starting Outlaw on Monday. But just been for a run with the dog. It was sheety cold ice. Not nice and dog looks like a drowned rat.

I don't think my training will do much to get me round at Outlaw, but it will be good training for celebrating after 

Rocco, yep, I'm in Goytre between Pontypool and Abergavenny.  Also planning on joining NEWTS in New Year. 

Well impressed with Alpkit head torch, just took mine on a 3 mile run (first time), so much better than the 3x more expensive Petzl I've been using.

I have done an hours swim inc a CSS Test and then I have sweated for 90 mins in the gym .. warm weather training 

Cable ties would seem to be the way to go I think SD
