Well done Tim, really chuffed for you.

Good luck for Sunday TB.

Did my first "Bingo" day of the year yesterday - 5 mile run, 10 mile bike, 1 hr swim.
Swim was crap because of chesty cough.

Question regarding candance -  is a garmin 305 sensor worth the £40.00, i'm using a perceived candance currently and was wondering whether I should spend some cash as the Fink plan is based on HR and candance.

I have a cadence sensor as part of my cateye computer and have found it useful. I think it helped me to learn to spin the pedals more rather than mashing them in a bigger gear.

I also use a Garmin 310xt on my bike but haven't bothered with the cadence sensor, if the cateye one dies I'll get one then.

TB - you cab get the GCS10 at Amazon for £28 at the moment. I got one and was surprised at how slow my cadence was on the road, so for me it was worth it!

Although you might want to look elsewhere as Amazon are being extremelt slow at the momment - I pre-ordered some crappy Tri book before Xmas and it still hasn't been dispatched!! Whats that all about - don't tell me they've sold out already Holgs???

Crappy Tri Book?? Thought you had Fink already ?

Distibutor fooked up - suppose to deliver on 27th Dec, all sorted now. Amazon posted the copies I'd ordered to me today, so it does exist. Should be in shops next week as well.

ahh - I had an image of you sat outside Amazon ripping the final chapter out of each copy, not happy with the wife's bit!!

I read it on Wednesday night when I finished reading the whole book - sounds egotistical but I wanted to read the complete book, rather than just completed chapters.

I enjoyed Em's chapter

That would build some serious arm strength.

I've just ordered one from amazon bargain at £28, I don't mind the wait but expected 27th Jan did seem a little extreme.

TB - I have found the cadence sensor really useful when I have been on the turbo

my copy of the tri book has been despatched from amazon today

Off to the pool tonight. If I can remember where it is, and it's not flooded. Now where is my swimming kit...
Duathlon has a certain attraction.

I was considering buying a cadence sensor but, for some unknown reason, I've suddenly gone off the idea.....................

Ran Wed, turbo yesterday, ran today, rest day tomorrow, run & turbo Sun.

Could have been flooded with the Thames. Not quite as clean as the Taf!

Bit personal there, Melds.

It's not the weather that's stopping me from getting outside this week, it's hubby working and me having the weans to look after.  Turbo is the only chance I have to get on t'bike.
