8 mile run this morning - running through the woods in the snow listening to Eye of the Tiger - good way to start the day

Rafiki - I'm jealous! I'm stuck in an office listening to people whinging, coughing, sneezing etc. wishing I was running in the woods in the snow listening to Eye of the Tiger.

glad im not running through the woods being chased by a tiger.  Although, it might help my cadence/pace if I was....

sneezed this morning. a tickle of a cough developing and kids showing signs of lurgy.

Good work Raf!  I ran 5 miles along canal path this morning in fresh snow, just lovely.

Swimming with NEWT tonight if the heavy snow promised doesn't land.

Due to school being closed yesterday & today and weans being at home, I'm having to re-schedule my week.  Today is now my rest day, but I have done 30 mins of core work and stretching

otherwise known as playing Twister with the kids .

Plan re-scheduling question - is doing a swim set in the afternoon and 90 mins turbo (     ) at night too much for one day?
I feel I can manage it ok, but don't want to get a telling off.

nurse - I wouldn't think it was too much, but then I am not the one likely to tell you off

Swim set and a 90 mins turbo should be fine as long as you are fed and rested inbetween

Most days I will do 2 or 3 or even 4 sessions  its a good way to get used to the hours, you target different muscle groups and you're training for a triathlon FFS

Suppose I really just wondered how far I can stray from the plan, but I'm thinking that since I have no option but to jiggle it around, it's getting the hours in that counts.
As long as I don't try my ususal 'run before I can walk' approach.

Just make sure the intensities are mixed .. dont do all or nothing, keep a lid on it

Brick session done. Snows melting really quick but found it almost impossible to ride through some of the deep slush tonight.

Hopefully most of our snow will be gone by the weekend.

Couldn't be arsed with the turbo tonight, so headed out for an hour of starry, icy solitude on the backroads. 580ft of climbing and an average hr of 133, made for an hour well spent.
