My bike is outside in the cold snow and I am inside in front of the toasty fire.

I need to turbo tonight.

These two things are not compatible

I'm venturing out in near 0F/-18C wind chills in a bit for a brick.  I have my first tri of the season on Sunday (reverse super sprint with an indoor swim)  so need to do some cold weather prep.

Nursey .. man up and sort it out

Welcome back Yank, sounds like your  wife is doing very well indeed!!

Manged an hours swim today including a late winterswim which I hope they will accept, a lovely snowy run along the canal path and an hour working on my core in the gym
Back to work and a rest day tomorrow

Dug the bike out of the snow and have turbo'd (or is it turboed? or turbod?).  Liking Chrissie's Audiofuel session, only done the shortest one so far.

8 mile run this morning - running through the woods in the snow listening to Eye of the Tiger - good way to start the day

22/01/2013 at 11:01

Rafiki - I'm jealous! I'm stuck in an office listening to people whinging, coughing, sneezing etc. wishing I was running in the woods in the snow listening to Eye of the Tiger.

22/01/2013 at 11:04

glad im not running through the woods being chased by a tiger.  Although, it might help my cadence/pace if I was....

sneezed this morning. a tickle of a cough developing and kids showing signs of lurgy.

( not happy bunny smiley )

Good work Rafiki.

30 minute bike/15min run brick this evening. Have to be on MTB again though

Good work Raf!  I ran 5 miles along canal path this morning in fresh snow, just lovely.

Swimming with NEWT tonight if the heavy snow promised doesn't land.

Rest Day !!

Due to school being closed yesterday & today and weans being at home, I'm having to re-schedule my week.  Today is now my rest day, but I have done 30 mins of core work and stretching

otherwise known as playing Twister with the kids .

Plan re-scheduling question - is doing a swim set in the afternoon and 90 mins turbo (     ) at night too much for one day?
I feel I can manage it ok, but don't want to get a telling off.

22/01/2013 at 17:56

nurse - I wouldn't think it was too much, but then I am not the one likely to tell you off

Swim set and a 90 mins turbo should be fine as long as you are fed and rested inbetween

Most days I will do 2 or 3 or even 4 sessions  its a good way to get used to the hours, you target different muscle groups and you're training for a triathlon FFS
