Yep - went through about 9:45 and back about 2:00ish.

Well my 60 miler didn't go exactly to plan. First 40 odd miles were lovely, roads ok, wet and slippy bit ice free. As I went higher into the Chilterns, the fields were still snow covered - very pretty. In fact had to stop for a moment to take in the view (right by the chittychitty bangbang windmill of you know it) Dropped back down and got a puncture. No issue, stop fixed it - put front wheel back in and stripped thread on the QR (design fault!!). And you cant ride a bike without a QR - believe I tried  so a five mile walk, in cleats, to Henley Cycles to get a new one!!! Not happy!

Brick session, then Rafiki?

Unlucky Raf.

Took my road bike out today, punctured after 10 minutes, flint went straight through the tyre. Didnt strip any threads though and was only a few mins away from the place i'm doing the maintenance course, so cycled down their to use one of their track pumps.

Guy said theres been loads of punctures today. I blame it on all the grit thats been slung around recently

Had to stay close to city though as i still had a split in the tyre. Managed to the planned 1hr 15 min ride though. Also did a 30 minute run this morning.

I went through at about 12.30-1ish Raf, thought I saw someone going the other way with a piratey buff on and wondered if it might be you. Unlucky with the punctures peeps

UNlucky with the punctures, guys.  I'm doing a long ride tomorrow, planning on making it my first 50 miler.

Nice 90 minute run today, apart from one nutter who obviously doesn't believe in pulling out to pass runners.  I swear the wingmirror missed me by a foot.  Yes, it was a little old woman.  "These runners, thinking they own the roads....!"

Sooooo then, thanks all for the swimming tips over the past couple of weeks.

I'm really happy, and slightly amazed, to say I've knocked 1m 8s off my 400m pace. Granted, it was slow to begin!

We're it not for the dodgy ankle I would be seriously considering taking on the full distance this year rather than next. I'm off for a pint.

My first of the year. I'll be a cheap date tonight.

Donkey that is amazing!!  Well done you!!

Sorry all. A few too many of my recent posts have been somewhat "look at me, look at me, look at me!"

Anyway. Day off tomorrow. I sense a hangover coming - my first with a newly 2 year old. Should be fun.

It's great, ID - go ahead and share all the good stuff, it puts all the hard days, the failures and the injuries into perspective

2 1/2 turbo yesterday and that was tough I could not settle at all.
Achey legs this morning but am going to try my first club run this morning.
It was going to be a duathlon but the snow ice and rain mean it's now a muddy run.

Have fun Ali. I'm just back from a 7 miler down Whitlingham. Stuck to the road though as the path round the lake was too slippy. I would have done the club thing but have the cycle maintenance course at 10.30am.

Enjoy the run Ali!

Just back from an 8 (ish) mile run in the sun! It's so nice not having to worry too much about slipping on the ice and snow! A couple of Strava PRs too, which is always nice

Hope everyone's training goes well today!
