Nice 90 min MTB today, icy canal path, saw a kingfisher.  Great fun.  10 mile snowy run to Folly tower and home again tomorrow (there are hills ... some of the Blaenavon Triathlon run route).

Morning fitness friends

A nice chilly 1 hour run done this morning. Took a bit of effort to get out the door but after 10 minutes it was all good, except for the ice.

Nursey, walk to the start of the run, run and then walk back .. warm up, cool down sorted

Good idea Mrs Mentor.

However, by the time I read that we'd already spent the afternoon sledging and building a snowman.
I am going for a run this afternoon.

Great run today, 2 hours in Z2, 10 tough hilly snowy icy miles.  Took one nasty tumble on ice under a canal bridge -- quite a decent scrape and bruise, but my first thought was 'Oh sh*t my iPhone!'.  Priorities, eh?

Well done mate, bit of a nightmare, hope your iphone is ok.

Weekly update

I also ran 10 miles this morning. Luckily I left my iPhone in the car

All this snow and ice finally made me go out an buy a turbo trainer yesterday. Did a quick 30 minutes. You get a bit warm don't you!!

Is it snowing out your way Spoons? Just this minute started again in Norwich. Only little flakes though

Top job Andy.  Yeah, the phone survived, unlike my dignity.

Right the kids have had their fun now, we've built a snowman, been on thee sledges, had a family snowball fight (ok the kids laughed as i threw them at the better half) can the snow just go now its getting in the way of my training. I would like to go running without the risk of having the next 6 weeks in a cast.

You all seem very brave risking the outside, i've just been doing looooong turbo sessions in some nice new black and yellow kit

MA

Glad that Tims phone is ok after it's traumatic tumble.

Sounds like trainig is going well for everyone. Start my 24 week plan today, will be running for 30 minutes later at 8.30 min mile. Had a nice walk to work this morning as a warm up. This week is a rather gentle 9hrs 45mins to ease me in, think I max out at just shy of 17 hrs.

Really looking forward to it.

Have fun Holgs.

I'm loving being back on a training plan with a goal at the end. Also sleeping a lot better since i started training again.

Coached pool session for me tonight
