Sorry all. A few too many of my recent posts have been somewhat "look at me, look at me, look at me!"

Anyway. Day off tomorrow. I sense a hangover coming - my first with a newly 2 year old. Should be fun.

It's great, ID - go ahead and share all the good stuff, it puts all the hard days, the failures and the injuries into perspective

Crackin' work ID, well done you.  And don't worry, we're all here to provide shoulders for each other to offload onto.

Hangover + toddler......................I hope you have a very understanding OH!

"Look at me posts" is what its all about. We can inspire each other that way

Although Melds hasnt inspired me into flying a broom yet

2 1/2 turbo yesterday and that was tough I could not settle at all.
Achey legs this morning but am going to try my first club run this morning.
It was going to be a duathlon but the snow ice and rain mean it's now a muddy run.

Have fun Ali. I'm just back from a 7 miler down Whitlingham. Stuck to the road though as the path round the lake was too slippy. I would have done the club thing but have the cycle maintenance course at 10.30am.

Enjoy the run Ali!

Just back from an 8 (ish) mile run in the sun! It's so nice not having to worry too much about slipping on the ice and snow! A couple of Strava PRs too, which is always nice

Hope everyone's training goes well today!

Yeaaah!! Go for it!

Just finished my first 50 mile bike ride.  Great fun, avergaed 15mph.  Chain off once, had to turn around twice cos of flooding (sure I saw an Ark being built on a distant hillside).  Roads were a mess in places.  Aching a bit, but in a good way.  A real confidence boost.

10k done uphil and down very wet and muddy and I fell over but no harm done. Slowest there by far but had lots if fun and a couple of the guys stayed back to keep me company. Got to try and salvage my trainers somehow this afternoon.

Well done DTT and Ali.
Hose the trainers down and fill with balls of newspaper. Replace hourly, or stick in the airing cupboard.

I normally realise I've forgotten to do that when I get my wet xc shoes out of the bag a month later!

90km on the bike today, including a recce of the Marlow du course. Got home and did a 1.25 km brick to see if I could still run.

I've been asleep all day but have intentions to run before I go back to work tonight!
How lovely to see grass and pavements!

I've been on the Sofa all day with the finest hangover for many many years (I know it's not big or clever although it was a very good night).

OH not to happy (as could be expected).  Toddler has had a fine old time using me as a climbing frame.

Back on the training wagon tomorrow.
