You see Melds, that requires work. I just want my new travel agent who goes by the handle M...eldy to plan it all out!

North? As in Manchester and such or that country filled with Scots? (I'm actually saying the line from Braveheart out loud )

IY, what sort of things do you want to see in Europe? That would determine where best to go.

So Holland is about the height of Massachusetts, and very thin.

  • Land at Amsterdam, overnight to experience, then off to Rotters.
  • Drive South to Aachen (Dutch border) to a Christmas market. Stay overnight.
  • Drive to Belgium for piss up on 10% beer.
  • Day after: drive to Paris via Luxembourg or drive back to AMS then fly to Paris.
  • Fly from Paris to London.

Job done!

Perhaps I have a new travel agent.  Has the Cat usurped Melds?

I'd like to see some places I haven't seen.  I especially like to experience things I can't experience on this side of the pond, which I know is getting more difficult with globalization.  I also have to think about my daughter, who has only been to Sweden in Europe so most everything will be new to her.  The Christmas market sounds interesting.

Would it be worth a drive from AMS to Paris to enjoy the sights or is just as easy/cost effective to hop a flight?

" I especially like to experience things I can't experience on this side of the pond"

SD! I'd slug you but I might drop my cheeseburger and accidentally fire my gun.  I'm holding both right now!

But you know what I mean.  Europe for the most part is just old relative to the US so all those great churches, art museums, etc. are things I can't usually see over here.

Lol, i know mate, only playing.

You could spend years here and not see everything. Guess you need to pick your top 10 european non seen sights and go from there.

Christmas markets are a good shout though, not my thing but everyone i know whos been have loved them

Are you going to bring me a new hat seeing as you hate my black one?

You got it mate!  Hockey? NFL?  Red Wings are white and red, Lions are blue/silver.

Fraggle !!   Dont you pick up the injury gauntlet
Nursey .. why was it pants, what went wrong?

1hr swim, 45 min turbo and 1hr gym work for me ... fair knackered!!

Don't know Melds.  I was really knackered yesterday (stressy work, ill children) so I'm putting it down to tiredness.  My hips and legs kept dropping, so much so I ended up using a pull buoy.  It just felt all wrong.  Ho hum, today's another day.  Although I am a bit stiff and sore today after a rather spectacular trip and fall yesterday.

Fraggle, what have you been doing to yourself?

And you Rafi?

What a bunch of crocs we are.

just old age Nursey! Ended up with a calf strain (well the peroneus actually!) after reccing a new off road half marathon on Sunday. Although teh physio reckons walking 5 miles in cycle shoes with cleats the day before probably didn't help much!
