Another Ironman journey
Meldy.....C'mon it's me, I don't have a cunning plan
No but you are not in control of your destiny anymore are you !
I'm married - I haven't been for many years.
Precisely.Seriously, I thought you were being coached this year?
Am I right in thinking it's High 5 that's provided at Outlaw? And if it is, which variety?
Yes it is ... variety will prob be announced closer to the time as I think it has differed over the years
I actually dont mind what flavour it is on the day ....Meldys tip for the day, take some tictacs with you on the bike/run, a mouthful of them feels like you've cleaned your teeth half way and takes all that citrus/drink flavour away
I shall be out on the mtb tomorrow hopefully ... get a few hours in up the woods before nights !
Crap week training for me, missed Tuesday's NEWT swim cos of snow, in London yesterday for meetings so did nothing. Couple of runs, three sessions on turbo. Aiming for a long run and a long bike this weekend.
lovely blue skies here, no snow ........ time to go out and play on the road bike!!!
Off running to the in-laws' for cake!
Change of plan - haven't had a rest day since Wed 16th. WIll drive and eat cake
just got out on my road bike in glorious sunshine - Rafi, did you go through Twyford earlier ?
Yep - went through about 9:45 and back about 2:00ish.
Well my 60 miler didn't go exactly to plan. First 40 odd miles were lovely, roads ok, wet and slippy bit ice free. As I went higher into the Chilterns, the fields were still snow covered - very pretty. In fact had to stop for a moment to take in the view (right by the chittychitty bangbang windmill of you know it) Dropped back down and got a puncture. No issue, stop fixed it - put front wheel back in and stripped thread on the QR (design fault!!). And you cant ride a bike without a QR - believe I tried so a five mile walk, in cleats, to Henley Cycles to get a new one!!! Not happy!
Brick session, then Rafiki?
