Meldy - my Father said as much. That said, he soon changed his tune when asked if he fancied coming with me. He was a biiiiig fan back in the 70s / 80s and has most of their albums on 33".

I hope he enjoys it although I'm quite nervous about taking a 63 year old out to a pop concert!

Interesting comments about the NFL, I was a running back at university and then an offensive tight end, quite simply the hardest sport I've ever played. The padding is needed because of the full on contact.

The six nations, a bit like the superbowl but played by public school boys so obviously lot less gay.....pass the soap Hugo.

First kettlebells class last night, and I really enjoyed it . Arms ache a bit today, so not really looking forward to my swim later as it's gonna hurt.

and in other news, my foot is recocering well, and the physio says I should be able to run on the x-trainer next week

Well a year ago I managed a full 25m of front crawl - non-stop!

Tonight, managed 3.8km ....... so maybe this Ironman thingy might just come off!!

well done rafi - when you put things like that it shows how much progress can be made in a relatively short time! I am planning some long swims at half term when I will have chance to spend more than about 40 mins in the pool

Well done all. Cracking day for me

45 minute run then an hours swim. Fastest pace ive done. 86 x 25m in an hour.

Also lost another 4lbs in 2 weeks so now only 2 lbs off last years all time low. 13st 11lb, hoping to be closer to 12 stone by Ironman time.

Bad news for me... After my 13 mile run on Sunday I've injured myself.

At least 1-2 weeks doing no running or cycling at all, not good. The nurse initially said 6-8 weeks off but changed her mind for some reason. Oh well, I can use these next two weeks to concentrate on my swimming now. Every cloud

Ive been going to the Monday swimming session at the high school. I think i'm starting to see benefits from it. Wednesdays is supposed to be a really good class as well, unfortunately i cant make it because it clashes with Arleyas karate.

Looking hard at trainerroad and a kinetic road pro to maximise the outcome. Ive read the book ( half way so fat - nervous thatthe test is hard to get right )

Budgie how come she changed her mind? Seems a big diffence between 6-8 and 1-2 !! What exactly have you done?

I am just updating a few things training wise as I seem to have a niggle that refuses to go away so may well be honing my biking and swimmin skills for a while .. Why are thing never simple?!

Gym later today once I have hauled my carcass out of bed and I think I shall reaquaint myself with the cross trainer and see how I go

Good work SD. My swimming is also getting quicker. I do 100 lengths in an hour. Finished in 54 minutes yesterday

it's only a paddling pool though......
