thanks guys...

Tuesday was never again

Wednesday was maybe but no fekkin sea swims

Thursday was ok but only if I a) lose weight b) learn how to run properly c) get some help for the OW panic which prevents me performing in race conditions (and also very very risky in light of recent events)

I'm overjoyed to have realised a dream and saddened by the loss of a friend, but its unforunately a risky sport and it doesn't care if you can swim really well or not... fact, it's dangerous and it can happen to any of us

I guess i'll be run training and CX racing over the winter with the odd 4000m swim thrown in for good measure!

Gas, I have the perfect mascot for you - I'll bring him to Deerstalker.  Check out his ink

A new bath toy (for the kids, of course).

yes put a duck on it...

My mascot is a duck, he survived the storm, floods and some pretty terrible cycling

What's this IronGasser stuff? You didn't do an Ironman, you did a Challenge event...so shouldn't you be ChallengeGasser, or maybe *Challenged* Gasser

However, I think i need to be a little quicker next time out the stocks and no i'm not fekkin' doing wales before anyone suggests it...

Sweden sounds nice

I'm not so sure Frag. I have a mental picture which is combining go-go and Gas, and it's making me feel slightly

I'm reacquainting myself with the lovely Ms Wellington, and have been on the turbo for the past few evenings. Today I went for a short run and tried one of her Run Faster interval sets for the first time. Really liked it, and it certainly made the (short) time pass more quickly than usual.  I think my running mojo has stopped being in the huff and has finally come back

Good news Nursey, I seem to be able to walk unhindered again so that's a positive! Supposed to riding the crosser tomorrow, she's ready I'm not sure I am but we'll see soon enough

Testing was relatively routine and didn't blow a gasket so that's good news

Been trying to work out what/how to focus on... I've pulled out Relentless Forward Progress to read and perhaps the runner in me might reappear

Ok Gas, listen carefully and pay attention. Please don't make me use my nurse voice. I know you're an Ironlabrat, and will have comittments there, but FFS have a rest
