Best put in a plastic bag, Gas, so as not to corrupt the innocent young minds who frequent the thread.

I like the fact he says its a new bike he built - but the photos appear to have been taken in something that's looks suspiciously like a shop ....... mmmmmmm

Wow Raf, you may have a point there.  On closer inspection, I see that the figure in the background adopting the masculine He-Man pose might not be Gas in his well-stocked garage after all.  Must get to Specsavers

Your right it can't be Gas they arn't wearing a kilt?

Wales is calling you, Gas .... Wales ... Wales ...

Either that's a mannequin in the photos or Gas is going after Gladys' title!

I have a bike shop run by a friend about 300 yds from the house.... we had a bike shop lock in with some large bottles of peroni

My bank manager has written to me and asked if would consider moving house as apparently my average bank balance has declined significiantly since Steve decided to open the shop near my house... on the flip side Steve's bank manager thinks it was a great idea for Steve to open in such proximity to a very easy target!

So in short it should be the bike I built with a little help from my very able friends

(one of three bikes built this year...)

note my BMC has also metamorhpisized...

Frame - same

Group Set - Dura Ace shifters, ultegra derailleurs, ultegra brakes, rotor crank and Q rings, shimano carbon pedals, Bontrager RXL Carbon Brake levers

Base & Tri Bars - Profile design carbon

Wheels - Spin Carbon SSC50's with gold hubs

Seatpost - same

Seat - Dash carbon saddle and elite rear cage

So bascially, it's got the frame and nearly everything stripped off it was used to build the cross bike, some other bits have been sold or given to new homes and I still have  some bits I haven't manage to re-use in another project yet

I'll be there to cheer you on (and laugh when you're up to your Sandy Shaws in freezing cold murky water), and have warm milk and toasted muffins waiting at the finish.

Anyone else fancy a trip to the stunningly beautiful Borders to see Gas get cold, wet and utterly trashed?

The plank...! the plank...! make him walk the plank screamed the pirates from the deck... Macscully stood at the edge of the plank and calmly slipped on his goggles, 3.86km to land he thought, coincidence? Would “she” be waiting where he left her when he made it to the beach?

I can swim a bit

I can bike a bit less

My running is well not really “running” not sure what it is really but I know it’s slow...

You lot seem a nice bunch so hope you don’t mind if I tag along? hopefully you dont send me off the plank...

"I've never been called a tart before! How very rude..."

I've called you a tart loads of times - you mean you don't listen to me?? I'm very hurt!!

Although I must confess, the new bike I need for IM Nice, which will be purchased as soon as the 2014 models are out (bike number 5) will have Di2s    Now that is tarty, but I've wanted some every since we saw that MacLaren Specalized at the bike show (need? want? - same thing)

And macscully - welcome to the mad house  - I somehow think you might just fit it!!

Hi macsully, and welcome.

Frag, it's this.  I did it a couple of years ago, mostly great fun but I think I'll leave it to Gas and co. to get cold, wet, muddy and bruised. I'm happy to wait in the beer tent.
