they were in asda recently...less than a tenner...........i have found one.....thats helpful...

i am happy with trail shoes........

just worried about tomorrow and if the leisure centre and schools are open.......if not then it will muck up the start to my week...............but it will only be week 7 so still early days

2 1/2 hours done on the towpaths, trails and cycle routes around stoke. It wasn't quick - average 9mph, but the way I see it is another 2.5 hours of saddle time. I'm sure if was road or TT it would have been a fairly speedy ride
Mind you, if it had have been road or TT I'd have been on my arse!

LSR with Horse this morning, 12.2 miles in 2hrs 4 mins avg 10.4 m/min, in Z2 really chuffed with that as it was an undulating run. All done on the road and icy in places so had to be carful at times.

10m in 1h 18m. HR was a little difficult to control on the snowy trails, anyone else find the same?

I don't think i have seen this discussed yet but anyone up for a bike course recce in early June? I kmow it is a little early but Mrs Stanners is an organisational nut so i want to get it in the calender (it is not official until it is down in ink).

 week 7 that means the pool.....

binned my run yesterday even though was in kit and dug out the car instead..decided that i really should take my rest day and had ran enough this week..........

going to be a stressful week with the snow/ ice and we have a level and GCSE exams in the household.........

2 hours turbo done yesterday. Glad the ironman's not done on one as I would definitely fail.

I guess this weeks going to turn into a swimming one. Don't think it's safe enough to run but might try.

12 mile Z2 run done in the snow yesterday.  took 1h 50min but was a bit hard going at times.  was planning to swim this morning but roads not clear yet so am going to take a rest day instead and try and fit it in later in the week.

Good news I caved and ordered som yaktrax pro, so in 3-5 business days I can predict there will be no snow or ice left near Norwich.

At least it means that either way I will be able to run by the end of the week.

Tried out my new Garmin Edge 810 on the Turbo yesterday, fab bit of kit very pleased although Heart Rate monitor needs some tweking as it was either way too low or way to high! Loved raing my virtual partner got me shifting a bit more than I would have otherwise and my average HR worked out in Z2 so I'm calling it good.

Aiming for a full weeks traning this week althogh I can turbo instead of run until the snow goes or yaktrax arrive.

arms hurt today swimming....must have been the snow shovelling


1 hr swim, sauna, yoga. 45 min turbo.. 15 min time

If I can't get out on the bike soon i am going to go mad..........not only swim sessions to endure inside but now bike sessions

I did do 5 mins in the sauna and 1min of that doing yoga!! Can't be bothered to do more. Swimming makes me so tired

Am working away and didn't bring training plan. Could someone tell me what fink prescribed for week 7 of competitve please. Tues to Friday just running and cycling required.

Am going to concentrate on swimming as missed both sessions last week and there is nice pool in hotel but want to at least match the other sessions.

Do not pass go H0NK. My copy of fink travelled around most of Europe with me last year. It should be within reach at all times

have it in paper, have it on kindle ( iKindle at any rate ), have it as screen captures , wrote it on A4, 

still not making me do the sodding work though....

i might be stating the obvious but why dont you use your phone camera and photograph the section - its not ideal but if you travel a bit at least youll  always have it
