asda?! Seen them on Amazon & not too expensive but given how much snow/ice we get is it worth it? I can turbo instead of run, snow I can use trail shoes on (they were fine yesterday)
they were in asda recently...less than a tenner...........i have found one.....thats helpful...
i am happy with trail shoes........
just worried about tomorrow and if the leisure centre and schools are open.......if not then it will muck up the start to my week...............but it will only be week 7 so still early days
I teach and my sch never closes but it's getting there. I nearly lost the car on Friday and that really scared me. Took twice as long to get home and the road was clear and it was daylight. Staff leave at 5.15 M-Th so dark and rush hour. I don't want to be on slippy roads with lots of traffic - scary and will take forever to get home But feel guilty if I don't go in - can't win.
If I can't go in I'll happily turbo or walk across the icy slowly (warm up/cool down!) and go for a run!
As I said I cross trained clearing to car/drive around the car earlier. I may be having a snow day tomorrow at this rate
way I see it is snow is a LOT harder to run/ride in so therefore must be worth a lot longer in real terms!
Really well done
great training going on
snow is making it impossible for me to run in z2
30mins this morning - gave up on the HR thing and just ran in the end well staggered
week 7 commences........so that means the pool.....
binned my run yesterday even though was in kit and dug out the car instead..decided that i really should take my rest day and had ran enough this week..........
going to be a stressful week with the snow/ ice and we have a level and GCSE exams in the household.........
son has his last GCSE (for now) on Wednesday. His school is closed today so he's using the time wisely and is still in bed!
2 hours turbo done yesterday. Glad the ironman's not done on one as I would definitely fail.
I guess this weeks going to turn into a swimming one. Don't think it's safe enough to run but might try.
12 mile Z2 run done in the snow yesterday. took 1h 50min but was a bit hard going at times. was planning to swim this morning but roads not clear yet so am going to take a rest day instead and try and fit it in later in the week.
walked to the camping shop and now have yaktrax
Good news I caved and ordered som yaktrax pro, so in 3-5 business days I can predict there will be no snow or ice left near Norwich.
At least it means that either way I will be able to run by the end of the week.
Tried out my new Garmin Edge 810 on the Turbo yesterday, fab bit of kit very pleased although Heart Rate monitor needs some tweking as it was either way too low or way to high! Loved raing my virtual partner got me shifting a bit more than I would have otherwise and my average HR worked out in Z2 so I'm calling it good.
Aiming for a full weeks traning this week althogh I can turbo instead of run until the snow goes or yaktrax arrive.
arms hurt today swimming....must have been the snow shovelling
1 hr swim, sauna, yoga. 45 min turbo.. 15 min run.now time
If I can't get out on the bike soon i am going to go mad..........not only swim sessions to endure inside but now bike sessions
1 hour swim on a non swim day. Makes me feel good
Well until I read your post above seren
I did do 5 mins in the sauna and 1min of that doing yoga!! Can't be bothered to do more. Swimming makes me so tired
SS..I like to keep busy on a Monday.got squash tonight with hubby............the way i'm feeling he might avtualy get to win his first set tonight
