EP do you have to be a member of facebook to do that?

I'm signed up to do Florence marathon in november and need a medical certificate. Drs phoned today to say it would be £85. I am 3 years ago it cost £20 and the doctor didn't even see me

we regret to advise you that your application to cycle in the ride london-surrey 100 has been unsucessful.

Phew, thats a relief with outlaw so close, but I expect it would be a fun event

I have been looking ahead at next 10 weeks of Fink and was surprised that the long rides are all 3 to 4 hours and dont increase beyond that until the final 10 weeks, so I then looked at the begginer triathlon site and there free plans were similar.

I guess they know what they are doing but might be tempted to do a bit more if I feel up to it.

If you can longer bike rides without killing yourself then I would honk

I'm in the London ride, somewhat worried now but deep down I want to do it. Just the logistics I'm worried about.

Neck is much better, I know I should rotate my body when swimming, still working on that!

Brick session completed, including a snowy 15 min run.

long turbo *yawn* done 1:45 with varied resistence mainly on the low side so high cadence (for me!) followed by 15mins run to tesco for paper and trot back - both runs ignoring HR as it was pissing down with rain and I was getting cold in my tri shorts.

did have a brief moment when I thought "Hey I don't feel bad at all! I almost feel some fitness here!" which was nice

roast duck tonight will be eaten without the slightest hint of guilt now

EP, I've had a similar experience this weekend too. Brick yesterday, 1hr05 on the bike & 30min run, all felt really good at the time, didn't feel knackered afterwards, and got up this morning with no pain or stiffness in my back and hips and feeling quite sprightly. Most odd.

1:15 run done, 7.5 miles. It may be short in miles and time but it was snowing when I set off, I have wet feet (almost guaranteed blisters) and I'm cold and damp.
First time I've ever done over 20 miles in a week. At one point I'd be lucky to manage that in a month
I do think hear rate training has a lot going for it.

I set out with the aim of seeing some of the runners on my local HM. I rode to the finish to cheer, then stayed until clubmates were in. The road home as I was soo cold.

1:30 out, 30 minutes riding This means I will probably be too rested for next weekend.

2 hours 43 min on turbo - can I do the full session ... Dvorak's Slavonic dances might help ...

After an interuption with a stag do in Portugal last weekend, i have been avoiding this forum like the plague as i knew peoples updates would make me feel guilty, i was right! Looks like everyone is going great guns!

Back on track for me this weekend. 2:45 on the Turbo yesterday and 17k run in 1:15 today. Both felt good so +1 for HR training, although have no idea if my last 2 sessions were done at the correct pace as the my HRM has packed in. 11 months old so still under warrenty so will be looking for a replacement from them tomorrow

nearly 70 miles in relentless rain............hard work.......soaked to the skin........but i reminded myself that it can rain all day race day and so it was a good training session..........

i rode longish yesterday - thank god. I just rode 30 min to, then another 30 min from the gym with the missus this afternoon - omg that was cold. the sleet made my head ache. Fingers went numb in 7 minutes and I was not riding hard enough to warm up.

well done for those who got out. It takes effort but the reward will be in March/April when you will be riding strong and others will just be starting to get outside for the first time.

LSR this morning 10miles in 1hr35mins avg pace 9.33min/m, really surprised myself with the pace as it didn't feel that hard. HR was bang on my upper Z2 level and really felt good.

Matt.... the HR training really does work if you stick with it, I nearly always run with mine.
