The IMCH racers were lucky, they beat the bad weather. Extremely heavy rainfall in the Swiss Cantons, in Austria, and southern Bavaria has caused serious flooding, many towns are under water, roads closed, complete chaos. Garmisch-Partenkirchen is cut off, the Autobahn A8 is closed at Augsburg due to danger of a bridge collapse. People along the Danube are waiting for the river to burst its banks any time now.
