getting fed up with gardening Mon??

despit what that witch Meldy says, I haven't retired from triathlon - only from IM distance - and am enjoying the short and off-road stuff.   also ditched the watch and HRM and just go on RPE for training purposes - works just as well.

must be loads of low keye events 'oop Narth for you to go for though so can't suggest any being a fey Southerner....

Hello Mon! Welcome back. How are your sheds? And do you have central heating yet?! Glad you're getting back to running.
As for what you've missed - 3 of us are racing Kona in 3 weeks!!

Only three? You, Funkin, Joddly, Rosey I thought?

Oh, and welcome back Mon, don't know any maras, they seem like an awfully long way to run!

A name from the past, welcome back Monique.

It sounds like you may be interested in digging out your passport, Great Wall of China?

Hi Mon

This marathon is on both March 29 and March 30 and has no big clocks that I'm aware of:

It's also a small event being staged for charity.  I confess to having a slightly vested interest as I'm chums with the organiser but it does satisfy your two criteria.

Or the Brathay Marathon around lake Windermere - 18th May - no clocks, great atmosphere and crowds though..http://www.brathay.org.uk/the-marathon/

Hurray, the Battenburg is back.  Hope you are keeping well.  Unfortunately the only races I know oop North are either not marathon length or have clocks on cars at the pointy end.

Gladys, Rosey was in Kona last year.

Hi Mon, welcome back. How about right up North and doing the Coastal Trail series run from Alnwick Castle to Bamburgh Castle up the beautiful North Sea coast. Lovely area to spend a few days, as long as your hours are up at work  It is on the 1st March next year.

Hey congrats on the Kona, Flyaway it is a fantastic experience, now that is one place I would not mind revisiting. Hope you're spending a couple of weeks out there there's plenty to see once the small matter of the IM is over. Yes we have heating, still no floors, skirting downstairs though.

There's rather a lot of choice out there, will check them all out. Mouse the Brathay  sounds good, does that mean you can take two days? That's probably my pace now.

The garden has somewhat taken over been on a jam and chutney making marathon today.

Hi Mon, all going nicely as have taken up this running thing, best part is I don't come last

Forgot another low key event, the Gin Pit marathons, 22nd and 23rd March you can do either one or both, if you want to finish higher up the field obviously the Sunday is the one to go for as most people will be on day two!

Jam, mmmmm

Hi Mon, nice to see you back here

How about The Wall thing, when you run the length of Hadrian's Wall?  The reason I mention that one is that I watched a video on it once, and the feed stations look AMAZING.  Loads of cake and goodies to scoff. Not sure what the running bit is like, other than quite long

Hi Mon, sadly not two days for the Buttons for Brathay one.  It's the same as the Gin Pit one that Symes mentioned so there's a marathon on both the Saturday and the Sunday.
