NGL - beat me to it - I was going to add you to the list.

Crashie - walking stick?

's OK SVT, as a competitor you have enough to be thinking about, so anything I can do to ease your next 6 years of training just let me know!!
05/08/2009 at 13:17
Oh, I'm going to be 40 that year too.

I might schedule my mid life crisis around this then too!

NGL - I'll let you know my race number in five years' time or so for monitorign purposes.

KatieJane - welcome aboard, fellow 1975er.

P.S. just for anyone reading this and thinking how ridiculous it is... yes, I really am planning a race this far out and yes, I realise how ridiculous it is.

Seems reasonable

I'll be 40 that year too..... 75'ers
05/08/2009 at 20:00
Yay - that's 3 of us so far!
06/08/2009 at 08:59

Right, NGL needs split times for his spreadsheet. Everyone's got a good idea what time they'll do by now, surely.

17 hour cut-off? Let me see...

Swim   1:46:09
Bike     8:23:34
Run     6:50:17

06/08/2009 at 09:05
SVT what about tranistions? Or have you included them in the bike and run times?

SVT - I think a clue to the verbification of your name might be copntained in this thread!

Well that's charming that is. No-one wanted to do it when I did it. Harumph. Just cos I did it doesn't mean it's easy you know - don't be lulled into a false sense of security!

It'll be my 50th birthday year....

06/08/2009 at 12:35

You aren't 50 till the following year, don't go adding any extra's on us!! Especially as I am older than you.

Min I have a feeling SVT might be on his own for this one too, the majority of pirates don't seem to want to do this course as its too hard.

06/08/2009 at 12:42
Yeah, bunch of wimps. Doing easy things like Doubles instead...

Oh - will I be 51? I'm rubbish at maths - I might do it, but its way tooooooooo early for me to say!
06/08/2009 at 12:53
No Min you will be 49, possibly 48 depending on the date of the race, we aren't 50 until 2016.
06/08/2009 at 12:55
Min - it'll be a great way of waving goodbye to your 40s, and reminding yourself that whever else may come in life, you'll always be younger than Crashie.
07/08/2009 at 08:31
Min a thousand apologies, it will be our 50th year, we will be 49 but our 50th birthday will be our next one. Feck me I'll be old then. You'll still be a goddess, but I'll just be old!!
