Not crazy at all .. in fact you are practically over qualified lol.. Many of us signed up for a first IM with a much lower baseline of training/experience/ability .   IMW 2012 still has places ...

You dont have to join the pirates as such, just order some kit, hang around the forums and join in the banter and chat.

What I like the most is the friendly nature of everyone at races, mutual support, and above all the sense of having fun.

There are also a number of ad hoc training rides people arrange, so keep your eye out on the threads.

See you at IM Wales (or ExtravaLanza) next year, if not before.

Look for people in yellow and black at races wander over say arrrrrrrrrrrrr! and your in oh and think of a forum name generally the dafter the better

It's definitely better to choose your own name... Otherwise horrible people give you one and won't let you be known as anything else... sigh....

Gladys the stunt double.

Note Barlos' subtle throwaway line "There are also a number of ad hoc training rides people arrange, so keep your eye out on the threads."

Then note that Mark appears to hail from Smiffy country..... ad hoc death more like...;O)

"You dont have to join the pirates as such, just order some kit, hang around the forums and join in the banter and chat."

you might want to do a LITTLE bit of training at some point, just in case you get carried away with the easy life !

Yay Rosey, bloke at Runbreeze mentioned you at the tri show Saturday. Little feller. Which probably means he is a sub 10 hour bloke...
