Have just made the decision that for my 40th birthday next year and my official mid-life crisis, I will not be getting a sports car but I will be going for Bolton IMUK! So my first question, if anybody can help me, is...is it easy to get entry? Is it first come first served and fills up within a day like London Marathon! Cheers all, Tonka

Doesn't seem to say yet so if anyone knows would appreciate it!

Yeh, that definitely cheered me up!
I am a few lengths with lots of splashing at mo, so hopefully the only way is up!
One of my next tasks was going to be choosing a new bike. I currently have a giant escape r2 hybrid which all in all is a pretty handy little bike.......unfortunately the clutch on my car decided to let out a loud screatch and like a big kick in the nuts this is gonna cost ??800!! At these times I seriously hate cars and my mindset at mo was just to think.....'ok, that could have been a decent new bike with carbon forks!'.
So looks like a bit more saving and maybe just shoes and clips to go on the trusty hybrid!!!

Ok... Choosing to have a pre-planned midlife crisis in Bolton is a bit worrying, You can shed the whole sports car thing, but Bolton?!

Wouldn't a better mid life crisis be to go and do an IM somewhere hot and exotic or conversely eat your way through 1000 packets of Wotzits in one evening without salad?

You could probably get into the Guinness Book of Records for the latter.

No brainer.

I here Bolton has a very similar climate to lanzarote!....., and hopefully if there all stocked up with wotsits i'll go for the record!

Just a car that worked would be good at mo!.....sports car defo few years of saving pennies in the piggy bank now!

Have been looking and looking and even though car has dented wallet, I am seriously considering the entry bike package offered by tri uk:
Wetsuit
Tri suit (although I think separates would be way to go when it gets to race time)
Pedals,clips
Goggles
Cycle hat
Giant defy 5 roadbike
.....all for ??599!!!
Considering I may or may not continue with any riding post race ( I am a runner by heart) and I may well sell bike on after, this seems like cracking deal....
Anyone any thoughts...???
Also would box of wotsits, or multi- packs be better, and what happened to prawn cocktail flavour wotsits or did they just never exist??
