Entries Open 19th May 2012?
According to the website when we rock up at registration we need a tri license! But it's jus something you buy.
Also entries open at midday local time. In case anyone was wondering... ? !
Your dad went and you didnt?! Think I might have peeked at the registration form by thursday!
Have you seen the other thread on the alternative Pirate outing for 2013 - might be worth waiting to see what's decided???
so has anyone been brave and pressed the button yet .. or has Holgs race report scared the bejeesus out of all of us ??
doesn't open for another 22 minutes...
where is Holg's race report? Not on blog?

thank you! Yes. Scared. Scared. Scared.
Registration opens in 15 minutes.
Sounds haaaard . But on the plus side .. with it being Lanzarote there is a good chance of finding a bar that stays open late enough for even me to get around the course and still get a beer .. hmmm
Likes you're thinking Slagiatt!! And no doubt it'll have slice of lime stuffed in it - Vit C to aid recovery!!
Slagiatt, id say its no harder than Wales overall, though the head and repuation for high winds can add another dimension. All Ironman races are hard in different ways.Worth reading OC's report for a comparison to Holgs.
Hard doesn't scare me. Down hill does!! But your insight on the bar is a good perspective!
When I did it in 2007 it was quite surreal walking down to tranition on race morning passing clubbers on their way home.
Hmm cant see that registration has opened yet?
nope and I notice it says "1300hrs (1200 local)" whatever that means. It's 1200 in Lanza and here!
The web page has just crashed - this can only be a good sign - hamsters spinning on wheels behind the internet!?

Could mean 13.00 here?I'll have another look later, its not like Florida where its going to fill up in 4 minutes, we should have a number of weeks, perhaps a few months before it fills up.
