I am finding myself strangely attracted to your wetsuit Rafi.  Since we are now going to be roomies, please wear it when you are making my breakfast .

Raf

If you have a TT bike then its ideal.....
If you have a road bike add some TT bars.

The hills aren't short sharp buggers - you can stay TT ing for lots, then hoof i out of the saddle where needed.
Its not an IM Wales, ie where lots of quick gear chainging is needed.
The last third is a straight TT, (excluding the pave section)

Deep section wheels may not be such a good option..... depends on the winds, and if you get x winds on the big downhills then......

I have been busy on ebay, and now have a set of hed 6 / 9s.   I dont think I'll take them out to lanza though....Last year there was a mix of disk wheels, deep sections and normal wheels........

I need a bike box, but so expensive to hire for 10 days. Might just buy one

Anyone recommend a website or shop in the midlands?

Pingu - is this some sort of fetish we should be aware of before we go to Lanza ??

Although, I could have used one of those for this morning's Olly - 'bobbing' round the lake might have been slightly easier than swimming

Cheers OC - was planning on using my TT - just need to change the gearing now I've finished this seasons Ollys

I hear Sram have just brought out a 10-42 cassette. You won't need the 10 though

I am planning to be there Tuesday to Tuesday to allow for a couple of OW swims before the event. Please put on list for apartment.

I was out there a couple of weeks ago and did most of the bike course, as noted elsewhere the hills are not really a problem, the difficulty will come from the strength and direction of the wind. (last week 37km/h from NNE). Sadly I did not do the last bit downwind from Nazaret.

I look forward to seeing you there.
