Hey, I was supposed to say that!
I'm still not officially training yet but I did to a hilly 33 miles today, it was fecking cold and wet and my feet were too numb to a short run afterwards, ho hum.

Oooooops sorry, I got a bit excited!!
Last bike of year done, once again in epic wind and rain.
Its now head down arse up all the way to Lanza.
training (re) starts tomorrow.
I did a 2 hour easy bike, so the target next weeken is a solid 2 hour ride.
Lots of catching up to do, but I've done a couple of 112 milers in Sept / Oct so still have a base to rebuild.
I think I have done about 5 hrs over Sunday and today ... all mountain biking so good strength work !
Okay I am in for IM Lanza 2013 - now need some motivation. Motivating myself for my first IM last year was much easier! Need to lose some serious Turkey stuffing weight and 'get back on the bike'... need some inspiration! Need to rebuild my base fitness, havent been back in the pool since Zurich in July! This is gonna hurt...
How many Pirates are setting sail for this one this year?
20ish I think.
Just watch the youtube videos, that should frighten you into doing something.
Welcome Doris!!As Froggy says ... watch the videos, on an empty stomach !!
Who the **** is Froggy?
lol!
I waas told be a very experienced iron person that there's no need to do any swim training as the tide takes you round the course, bit of a bonus!
ha ha that is a bonus!!
Yes, and half the bike course is downhill, so only need to do 50% of normal bike training.
now that is the kind of advice we could do with!!
and of course the 'run' section is along the road where there's a few bars so it's pretty much a pub crawl
It might well have to be ...... 10 mins I ran today
Show off!
It all sounds dead easy
