Resorting to extreme measures to beat the cut-off?

Next you'll be shaving your brake blocks

no chance - I need my brake blocks

if I don't beat the cut off then I don't beat the cut off, although it hadn't crossed my mind that I wouldn't

what I lose in the swim and on the bike I should hopefully gain on the run

maybe

anyway, there's no cut off at Bala

I used cut off as a metaphor, meaning the moving cut-off………..  Me

LOL at all the posts, If i ever manage to finish IMCH i am definatley getting a tattoo of the M dot. I do have a few tat's already, but i want to be proud that i have achieved an Ironman, and if anyone asks what it is, and then say they could not do it then i will be happy to tell them "if a fat git like me can do it then anyone can" i know it's a logo of Ironman, but i just see it as 3.8k swim,180k bike,42.2k run, But have no idea after seeing all the pics of tat's what i may have.

If Funkin does get one, he'd better not put that 5 stone back on that he's lost.  It might get a touch distorted...

I guess I'd best do an ironman every year to keep the weight off then...

I just assumed as it was Barley that it had smutty connotations ...

So who got the Tattoo's done ? or is going too

And did Debbo ever get her legs waxed?

I think I'd decided on "no" earlier in the thread, and I'm sticking with that, no tattoo for me.....
Strangely it has nothing to do with the tattoo itself, the brand etc.. but more to do with the fact that even though I loved the day and feel proud of finishing, it wasn't a life-defining moment for me.... maybe if I do another IM and race it next time I may feel different.

I have one and its rubbish.  I wish i had thought harder about getting it.  Its on my hip/back area so not too noticeable but if someone said that they could remove it for free, i would get rid of it.  Personally, i feel its cheesy in front of triathletes and non triathletes have no idea what it is.

I had decided yes before doing it, and now I'm not so sure, but I can't work out why. Tempted by a teeny silver mdot pendant though.

I think I'll just follow you Ditchy (and Meldy) and stick a dot after the "M" in my name

Before I did IMA I was planning on getting one but then life interfered and I didn't get round to it.  Now I'm quite glad I didn't although I'm still tempted by a swim/bike/run logo on my ankle, like IW.

I won't be getting one - but if I do another ironman and do well I might be tempted......... the jewellery is also nice!
