Fat Buddha - Just wanted to say thanks for the advice to get out into the Chilterns. I ended up following the Chilterns sportive ( routes a couple of times, and after those hills, Wales didn't seem so bad!

You guys might have reached saturation point with the race reports, but I thought I'd throw mine into the mix. It's stupidly long (sorry) and written for people that don't know about Ironman more than anything else...

Pirate kit's not the most symapthetic, and you were going uphil, and the light was funny, and .... Erm ...

I thought it was me, but my armwarmers were red and Barley had yellow ones on.

Cracked me up, Dave. I mistook you for Barley and vice versa on numerous occasions.

STIL - on god's own earth, how the hell do you mistake CD for Barlist??   they're like the Little and Large of the pirates......although neither has curly hair or bottle end specs but you get my drift....
