There really needs to be a change of smilies/emoticons on this site. The ones we've got are shit and I could spend a bored 10 mins associating 90's individual social drug taking habits to each one. But I've got better things to do.

The main smiling one is just at that pissed point of humouring you. Brain cell powered down.

Ok, today I realised that someone with OCD would love my job.

Any takers?

Big kitten has taught Cole the cutest trick, basically you sit down in front of him and cover your eyes with your hands and say 'Where are you?' He then uses his paw to take your hands away so you can see him.

He loves learning this stuff.

Ok, I have weird foot pain, weird because it's on the top of my foot. I just hope it isn't some sort of weird stress fracture. I don't quite know how I've done it.

Or it could be my immune system fucking about again. When I was really ill with UC I got transient arthritis in my knees and hips.

I did run last night but I'm giving it a miss tonight. Just booked the cinema for all of us tomorrow morning. Hotel Transylvania.

Here's the hangover from always having an English lecturer as a mother; I said weird 3x in the obove post. That doesn't scan well.

And no, my mum isn't called Wilkie

Ok, I was wrong, foot does still hurt as much, after personal suspicions confirmed by Google, I had an x-ray today in A&E. From where and how it hurts I was thinking stress fracture on 4th metatarsal. Due to the road camber round here and not my biomechanics.

Notoriously hard to spot on x-ray and they couldn't find anything but told me that it doesn't mean there isn't a small stress fracture there.

Oh and I didn't actually go to A&E, I went to the NHS walk in centre which has the same registration desk as A&E here, they sent me to A&E.

They are going to look at the x-ray again after the weekend and will contact me if they find anything.

Well I did nothing more active than walk the dog today, the livestock has all gone from the farm to be housed for the winter so we have the best fields back, full of cow shit.

I've started reading 'The Chimp Paradox', it's reminding me very much of the CBT model of approach, but I like the way it's presented. And it's true, my chimp runs riot flinging poo everywhere at times.

And whilst I seem to be firmly on the topic of scattalogical humor, Cole survived the cow poo walk today and came back smelling of, just Cole. But D took him outside just talking to the farmer and he came back covered in cow shit. I cuddled him unsuspecting and .

But we were only outside on the concrete D protested... And then we worked out that he'd been playing with one of the farm dogs.

My day today has been shit, so to speak.

Yes, yes. I AM going to write in morse code from now on at random points.

Anyone reports it as spam and they get an ice axe in the head like Trotsky. I swear that was the only thing I remember from history in school because we had a boring history teacher.

I think my fascination with that fact, was why it had to be specified as an ice axe? It was obviously important all those years ago to detail it.

But to the rest of us who were bored out of our brains with crap teaching in the early 80s, it threw up these possibillities...

  • There were only ice axes around because it was fucking cold, and pendants existed even then.
  • There were a variety of axes to choose from, but the 'new' ones would 'never catch on' and you don't want to look embarrassed if your pre-steel prototypes crashed and burnt like the Sinclair C5.
  • You were so full of hormones that 'ice' and 'axe' where to only words the overly hormonal teenage brain interpreted. The boys heard ice and shuddered, the girls heard axe and shuddered.
