Is this a mad way to start?

The farmer's wife has just come over and given my girls a €20 note each for an 'ice cream'.

I'd forgotten how bad I am pre-flight. It's the first time thing 2 has flown and the first time thing 1 will remember flying, and I've now got to sit there pretending it doesn't scare the crap out of me!

Am back, had a blast. Looking at my work emails with one eye closed and squinting through the other. That way I can pretend I didn't see stuff. In-laws on their way up for the day and bringing back my dawg. So I decided not to long run with the club this morning (too late back last night, no Cole, visitors etc) so I will trot out with my boy tomorrow.

Had to buy a stupid Disney hat because it was FREEZING over there. Their sale of hats and scarves went up 10 fold me thinks. There was a secret silly hat nod of approval going round. Needs must!

14 miles with Cole today, came in at 1.45 so pace ok. It was freezing though!

Still in work, new it would be manic when I came back but sheesh...

Right, for the people that are thinking 'Where the fuck did this thread come from?', I've been posting this drivel in tri for years (2007 I think I started this thread).

It was about me talking drivel about tri, now I'm concentrating on running, and not talking about that too often.

So I asked to return to my spiritual home.

Absolutely no snub to anyone or anything in the tri forum, it's just this is where I belong.

There are those of you out there that will remember the old SW social threads etc...

I'm still race organising tri but running and more so talking off topic is my real speciality. And I was hatched as a tiny little flea bitten kk in here, so I've come back to infest this place again. I now have tapeworms too.

I'm so full of cold I'm going to be grumpy all day, well until I get to about my 5th coffee.

not good news about the lurgy kk, give in to it straight away - don't fight it.  I've been fighting it all week and have given up today - it can win this time, thing 2 at home with it today as well - I've just fed him and he should be well enough to go back to school tomorrow.  I must be an old g1t I can't fight the bugs like I used to.

I think my thing 1 will be off school tomorrow. D has to go to an inquest and so I'll have to come home from work if she is.

I'm just planning to go in mega early. Deep joy.

There are way too many people on this planet, my suggestion is that we limit it to about 1000.

Well that has been quite a week in work, so looking forward to the weekend. I've opened a Stella and put a slice of lime in it, how classy am I? Think my usual friend will be over soon for a drink and nibbles, D is working lates all weekend and the girls are baking as I type.

Gotta fit in a long run with the fur face, but might leave that until Sun. The big job I've got to do this weekend is sort the master list, swim waves etc out for the race next weekend. I will brainstorm that tomorrow, tonight is for being vacuous.

Stella sounds good,, But I have a 22 miler on the schedule for tomorrow....
