good luck kittenkat, I've had 5 foot fractures and each time have persuaded the doc to give me an aircast as soon as possible, that way you can remove it for swimming, taking a bath, and sleeping. You can also bike and run while wearing it, but that depends of course how bad your fracture is and how far along in the healing process you are. Each time I've found I could start biking again in about two weeks, but running takes a little longer. After my last one in  May I raced in Roth 6 weeks later, was ok with the swim and the bike but found I couldn't run. 6 months is PLENTY of time to get ready!

Yes still working, not having a good day, in a new office and plonked myself in a spare office to find it belonged to the company's No2.

Luckily when he came in I wasnt on RW with my feel on my desk, or knocking one out.

Yes, but I'm sure he'll have time to spruce up and go to the bar before I get home!

KK - re a bike... you don't need to get a mortgage.  I got an Orbea LaRue for under £350 - call it £400 once you got decent pedals, track pump, drinks carriers x 2 and puncture kit.  It's pretty high spec out of the crate and comes in a variety of frame sizes.  Get yourself measured otherwise it won't be comfy (that comment applies to all bikes).

Orbea LaRue

I went to downland cycles  to get measured as it's my LBS.  Not sure where you live - worth ringing around, or speak to your local tri club and find out where they all go.

KK you are flipping mad but good luck!

I'll consider such things when I get old enough for an early mid life crisis
